A visa is mandatory for entry into Tanzania and can be procured in advance through online channels. Alternatively, visas can be acquired on arrival at Dar es Salaam airport or Kilimanjaro upon arrival.
Passports must exhibit a validity period of no less than 6 months beyond the anticipated entry date into Tanzanian territory.
There are no compulsory immunizations stipulated for entry into the country. It is recommended to adopt prophylactic measures to safeguard health during the safari. Specifically, wearing protective clothing such as long pants, closed shoes, and long sleeves is advised, particularly in the evening, to mitigate the risk of exposure to mosquitoes, flies, and other potentially harmful insects that may transmit tropical diseases and pose physical threats.
To respond to medical emergencies at our properties and during the safari activities we have a comprehensive first aid service emergency medical consultation which is part of our packages.
15 kilograms is the prescribed maximum weight limit for individual luggage during air transfers, a standard requirement for all flights to national parks. Kindly adhere to this requirement to avoid unnecessary hustles during transfers.

Both of our properties are situated in areas with a high concentration of wild animals, making it unsafe for guests to explore without the accompaniment of our dedicated security guards. At Escarpment Luxury Lodge Manyara, extra precautions are in place for the use of the swimming pool.
During game drives, it is strictly prohibited for guests to attempt to feed animals or exit vehicles, except in designated areas such as entry and exit gates and specific zones allocated for special activities.
Our lodge is supplied with electricity power that meets international voltage requirements. Escarpment Luxury Lodge Manyara is equipped with grid electricity and a standby generator while Escarpment Luxury Camp Serengeti is powered by solar and a generator. This ensures an uninterrupted electricity supply at the lodge. Strong WiFi is available at all properties both in rooms and main houses.
The telephone signal is fairly stable at all our properties. However, in some rooms, the signal is very weak. You should expect inconsistent telephone signals during safari activities due to uneven network coverage.
Tanzania employs the Tanzanian Shilling (TZS) as its designated official currency. We recommend utilizing United States Dollars (USD) exclusively in physical form. Credit cards and traveler’s cheques, while generally accepted, may entail transaction fees. ATMs and currency exchange facilities are prevalent in major urban centers across Tanzania but are not available in the national parks where our properties are situated.
Please be aware that US Dollar bills issued prior to 2006 are not recognized as valid currency in Tanzania.
In case you feel like tipping we advise that you tip guides separately from the rest of the staff. At our lodges, we have a tip box which is designated for all tips intended for staff.
